Cosplay Process – Vocaloid Hatsune Miku

eh random and bored.
I shall present my third cosplay process~ hahahaha!!!

Vocaloid~
Yes yes this is a rather popular cosplay nowadays.
With many different characters and and costumes from many different songs.
Owell, i also loved some of the songs but not a big fan of vocaloid. Wakakaka!
So this tutorial will be on Hatsune Miku, the most well-known and popular character from vocaloid~ =3=
Anyway, ONLY on the default headphone and hair clip. HAHAHAHA!!!

I shall start with the headphones first~

Materials:
Foam board
Craft foam
Mounting board
Metal wire
Black hair band
Small piece of black fabric
Yellow shiny/glitter paper
Red shiny/glitter paper
Masking Tape / Any sticky tape
Scissors and penknife

Step 1:
– Cut your foamboard into this shape. Check here for measurements~

– Cut a strip of mounting board. Thickness aprox 2.5cm~ (enough to go one round of the circumference of the shape above)

Step 2:
– Use the strip and go around the foamboard. Use tape to secure.

Step 3:
– Prepare the headphone top template. (Rmb the right and left side is different!)

Step 4:
– Following the template, cut out the same thing on the black craftfoam.

Step 5:
– Using the shiny paper, stick them accordingly with the help of the template.
Make sure you dun have any visible tapes showing on the shiny paper when you place the craft foam on top.

Step 6:
– For the mic, if you do not have one, make it! LOL!
Using a thick wire as the body of the mic. Spray black.
With the black cloth, sew it to the shape of the mic and stuff it with cotton/left over fabric.

Step 7:
– Attached the mic to the body using black tape.

Step 8:
– Cut abit of the mounting board sides to enable the mic to be slip through.
Secure with tapes.

Step 9:
– Cut a strip of craft foam. Using the same method as Step 2, however this time stick the craft foam to the mounting board. Rmember to cut a slot for the hair band and mic.

Step 10:
– Stick the top craft foam (the one with holes) and this will be how the headphone look like:

Step 11:
– Do the same for the other side. Make sure you get the patterns correct for both side and this time you won’t need to do another mic. XD
Stick the hair band and Complete!! TA DAAA~

Total time taken to do this: 2 hours.

Now for the Hairclip~

Materials:
Mounting board
Red paper
Black Tape
Masking Tape / Any sticky tape
Scissors and penknife

Step 1:
– Cut a strip of mounting board. About 38cm, 9cm for each side of the clip and 2cm extra to stick.

Step 2:
– Mark and fold the strip into a frame, 9cm x 9cm. So after folding it becomes a square frame.

Step 3:
– Stick a strip of red paper in the middle.

Step 4:
– Stick the black tape with a little overlapping the red paper so the line is straight. You can also fold the tape and stick it behind so it is more secure.

Step 5:
– Try folding the strip and this will be how it looks:

Step 6:
– Attach the ends and you are done! TA DA!

Total time taken to do this: 15 mins.

No Cosplay pics for this as I failed.
Or if I do have, I will post it. HAHAHAHA!

ok thats all~
hope this helps.
