ok the exciting thing about the day’s trip is to go to the theme park! WOOOHOOO!
but anyway, it was still kinda drizzling. hopefully it wont be heavy at the theme park tho.
on our way from Ximen…

we arrived at the bus-stop to board the bus to the theme park.
then we met this taxi driver who offered to fetch us at a fixed price.
a pretty good deal so we all decided to go for it.
the driver is nice and there’s even karaoke in his ‘van’ so we went crazy on the way!

Question: How do I go to Leofoo Village Theme Park 六福村主題樂園?
No. 60, Gongzigou, Ren-an Village, Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County
- Take MRT to Zhongxiao Dunhua 忠孝敦化 (Blue Line)
- Go to Exit 8, cross Dunhua S. Rd. to the southbound side to the cluster of bus stops for e-go Tailien Bus台聯客運.
- Buy round trip tickets and board bus to Leofoo. (Bus trip is aprox 1 hour)
- Buy entrance Ticket [NT$890, Adult Ticket ]

then we realised that the zoo is connected to the theme park too! LOL!

anyway we went to try this ride as a warm up:

I would say the ride is just plain disgusting.
it goes round and round for about 5 times.
the first round was ok.
Then the third round onwards, everyone felt like puking. LOL!!
terrible, I hate these merry-go-round rides.

then here we go to the dinosaurs world!

and I’m so kiampah I went to try twice.
stupid me is stupid.
I’m scared of heights, so this ride is too much for me. LOL!
The moment I reached the highest point, I wanted to faint. hahaha!

anyway somehow I managed to survive but my friends didn’t let me off.

but I have to say, the roller coaster aint that bad, the drop down one is.

interior is so cute! but food is not really fantastic. =x

then we headed to this 3D stimulation ride.


I kept laughing at the Aladdin because he looked more like those horror figure then a friendly character. LOL!

Anyway, time for merry-go-round!

AND TO SHILIN!!!!
Question: How do I go to Shih Lin Night Market 士林夜市?
- Take MRT to Jiantan 劍潭 (Red Line)
- When u come out from the station, you will see a stretch of brightly lighted area but that is not the night market
- Shilin Night Market is diagonally across the road
Shilin Night market closes at around 12 midnight.
The train operates till about 12midnight.

so from now on, it will just be food, food and FOOD. 8D

tried the 臭豆腐 and almost died. not my type. LOL!!!
everything else is good tho. :D

and of course we headed to shopping!

anyway we took train back to Ximen for some supper. (omg non-stop eating)
chance upon this artist who does really nice work with spraypaints and his fingers. (Y)

yep went to this snow ice shop for dessert!

and then to 85 degree cafe for another round of dessert.

I KNOW WHY I GOT FAT. LOL!!!

anyway this concluded my fifth day at Taiwan!

and yep breakfast. we headed to this small shop near our hostel and decided to try it out~

looking hungry LOL!

as we headed to the Ximen station, we also passed by this Red House Theater 紅樓劇場.
Nik said must take a pic to show we have been here! TROLOL!!

and yep, I had listed a few ways to get to Jiu Fen in my Itinerary.
but we picked the train way because we wanna experience it. LOL!

Question: How do I go to Jiu Fen 九份?
- Take MRT from Ximen 西門 to Taipei Main Station 台北车站 (Blue Line) [NT$20, Single-Journey Ticket. NT$16 EasyCard ] (3 minutes)
- Buy Railway tickets to Rui Fang 瑞芳车站 [aprox NT$52 to NT$80] (aprox 40-55 minutes)
- Exit the station and walk to the front of the railway station.
- The road in front of the station is Mingdeng Rd Sec 3. You would need to cross Mingdeng Rd Sec 3 to the bus stop just outside the shops and café.
- Take the Keelung bus heading to “Jinguashih” for Jiufen. [NT$22]
- Alight at the Old street (Chishan Street) stop along the road bend. You can see the 7-11 convenience store.

ALL WET. LOL!

we saw alot of ppl buying those rain ponchos and we thought they are all over-reacting to the rain.
there are some who even wore plastic boots covers which we thought it looked retarded.
but yes after walking some distance we came to realise we are the real idiots. LOL!

anyway yes, shopping time!

and this shop is where we got the pineapple tarts, 凤梨酥.
the uncle is really nice! (Y)

and then we finally reached the top of the ‘hill’ after walking for a while…
i swear the view was super gorgeous. *v*

and then as the rain got really heavy, we decided to camp inside this tea house.

then we also ordered this tea set and the lady demonstrated how do we make the tea.

well the tea smells really nice.
but im sorry, without sugar I couldn’t drink it at all. LOL.

and moving on, we decided to head back to ximen via train…

then yep, cubie arrived Taipei!
so we met up with her near her hotel area and head for supper. LOL!

LOL WE WERE ALL SO SURPRISED BY HOW THE SELLER ARRANGE THE FISH HEAD. DAMN FUNNY LOL.

A trip to JB again! 8D

yep, planned this trip with my poly babes last month as it was being postponed like nobody’s business. LOL!
finally it happened! hahaha~
so we meet up at woodlands to go checkpoint together.
as usual, I overslept due to the shagginess from the shoot the previous day. Zzzz.

but yea, finally met up, queue at checkpoint ain’t very scary so (Y).
sm was waiting for us at the checkpoint since she is driving, and yes off we go to K-歌ing!!!

SM bought us to redbox cos it is cheaper. YES 14RINGGIT FOR 5 HOURS ON A SUNDAY WTFMAX.

but it was super fun hanging out with the girls.

Off to JB for Bak Kut Teh again! 8D

so, another day for Bak Kut Teh again! hurr.
headed to JB with Jes, Cubie and Cutepetz.
pretty long queue for the checkpoint but at least we didn’t wait for too long.

1st October 2011

The first day of this wonderful month. hur.
we woke up and prepared ourselves for the START OF SHOPPING SPAMS.

so here comes the usual questions, where for breakfast? haha!
and then we saw this place near our hostel, the people there seems friendly, food looked good.
yes, 就是这里了~ hahaha!

this time round, im the one sitting down and everyone else ordered. hurr.

Ximending! but uh, there wasn’t much shops open since it is still early.
so we just kinda go our separate way and hunt for shops that are open. LOL!

and then, while waiting for the rest at the Ximen Station exit, I SAW BIG DOGGIES.

anyway, I called laogong lixian (she’s studying in Taipei now) to meet up.
So we headed to Gongguan 公館 to meet her~ XD

ok so my fren came and she bought us to this Dim sum place for ‘lunch’. *v*

so we walked there from 公館.

but look, I bought this mushroom thingy for my iphone. cute right? HAHAHA!
uncle bought the screw. but lost it after 2 days. FAIL LOL!

anyway, it was about evening that we returned to Ximen for the Toilet restaurant.

we tried asking for people for directions and FINALLY found our way there. PFFFFT-

Welcome 吐 Taiwan : Day 1~

Yep finally the update, slowly. LOL!
please really pardon me for the ultimate slow update on my trip.
Imma compile all the places and some helpful information so it takes some time. T^T

30th September 2011
Fri morning, waking up a few times as my nephew keep making noise in the middle of the night. Tsk tsk.
But I still managed to sleep alot without getting excited as it rained in the morning. Oh yeah, COOLING!

Yep so headed to get breakfast with bro, and we chose to have tuna and bread. ERHEM.
Then I rot before I finally go prepare and get out to meet the rest.
Bro helped me to carry my luggage and we wait for cab. BUT KNN NO CAB AT ALL.
It oso took me 15mins to call the cab. Urgh pek chek much.

But I’m glad I wasn’t the last one to reach. Hahahaha!
So we rot at the Mac before proceeding to check in~

best part is when we check in to the boarding hall, uncle vin forgot that he had his toiletries in his handcarry. So all these were thrown away since they are not allowed. GG-much.

Then we went in, TO ROT AGAIN. LOLOL!
I headed to get chocolate and drink as I was hungry.
The rest went off so I’m with Nik.
and yes Nik, there he goes again with his camera while I use my phone. LOL!

and then, I got bored and decided to pose for him:

arrived, struggled our way out and also, managed to find 台湾大哥大 to get the sim card for calling and 3G in Taiwan. 8D

Question: I need mobile service and data roaming in Taiwan! How do I buy the sim card?
Recommended Tel co, Taiwan Da Ge Da 台湾大哥大.
Standard mobile line at NT$500, you may choose to spend NT$350 for 5 days of unlimited data roaming and the rest of the values for calling. Of course, if you don’t need so many days of data roaming, you may choose to get just 1 day or 3 days. Price will be different.
Top up available for more values to data roaming or calling.
Applies for both standard sim card and micro sim card so no problem for iphone4 users. (Y)
IMPORTANT: NRIC IS NEEDED TO APPLY FOR THIS. PASSPORT NOT ACCEPTED. DON’T ASK ME WHY. LOL.

We also went to apply this youth card to enjoy discount for various places such as Taipei 101. And it is free when u apply. So why not? <–Aunty

Question: How do I apply for the Youth Travel Card?
you just needa present your passport and fill up a form at the Tourist Service Counter.
The Youth Card is applicable for people age 15 to 30 years old.
They will also give u a booklet that tells you where are the places you can get discount with this card!

anyway on the way we stopped by this place to get drinks.
then we saw this free water cooler place.
check out the paper ‘cup’. LOL!

so we headed to the bus station to check the buses~

We took the Kuo Kuang bus 國光號 to Taipei Main Station 台北車站.

Question: How do I go to Taipei Main Station from Taiwan Taoyuan Intl Airport?
Buy ticket from the Kuo Kuang Courier at the Express Buses Station, NT$125.
You needa walk a distance so ask for directions if needed! :D
Tips:
- Keep your ticket until you get off the bus.
- Avoid taking the bus between 7am to 9.30am and 5pm to 7pm, traffic is frustratingly slow.

LOL I HAVE NO IDEA WHATS WITH MY FACE. HAHA!

so we arrived at Taipei Main Station, we struggled our way through to get to the MRT station aka Metro Taipei 台北捷運 since there are many diff type of trains too! (different entrance yo so do look out!)

We stopped by Cosmed 康是美 as Vin gotta buy his stuffs that has been thrown away at the check in. LOL!
meanwhile, me and juju camwhored. 8D

Anyway we headed to the information counter and bought the EasyCard aka the Ez-link card in Taiwan.

well this is optional but I just thought it makes our life easier since you don’t have to get the token everytime u wished to take the MRT. Plus, you can be refunded if u return the card. so why not? hurrr-

Question: Where do I get the EasyCard?
You can purchase the EasyCard at Information Counter in all Taipei Metro stations.
Adult and Student card cost NT$500. They consist of a NT$400 disposable amount and a NT$100 deposit. Value can be added to the EasyCard at Value-adding machines located at all Taipei Metro stations, Information Counter at all Taipei Metro stations and some convenience stores (7-ELEVEN, FamilyMart, Hi-Life and OK).

Ok card bought, here we go to Ximen station!
we took the Nangang-Banqiao-Tucheng Line aka the BLUE line to Ximen Station 西門 as our hostel is there.

The first thing when we got out of the exit, we are lost. LOL!
so we asked around for directions, walked around with our luggage for about 15mins before we finally see hope. HAHAHA!
yes, we didn’t know we went the longer way PFFFFT-
but thanks to the Taiwanese who are all so helpful, we managed to arrive at our hostel!

The place is comfortable and cheap.
If you don’t mind sharing toilets with other people, I will definitely recommend this place.
The ladyboss is nice, place is clean and comfy. (think it was less than $200SGD for 9 nights. CHEAP RIGHT?)
Although it is abit ulu, but once you learn how to walk to Ximending, it only takes you 5 mins. (Y)

Anyway after we settle down, WE DECIDED TO HEAD FOR MAKAN!
yes fucking hungry and we are all already crying on the plane. LOL~
so we asked the Ladyboss for recommendation since it is already late so most shops are closed.
However, the place she recommended was full house.
So we headed to somewhere else which is pretty near the hostel.

Yep you can totally see the aunty me ordering for everyone. HAHAHA!
I jus anyhow whacked since we are hungry and everything looked nice. =x
and here comes the food.

CAN I JUST SAY IT IS SUPER NICE AND AWESOME? 8D
I’m soooooo glad that I chose to get the rice instead since I don’t eat bee hoon.
because the rice is braised meat rice 卤肉饭!!!
FFFFFFFFFFFFucking nice damnit.
I usually don’t eat much rice but I went to finish almost all of it.
owell, it could be because we are all hungry, but it is really nice. *v*
then the other dishes are awesome too, especially the intestine 大肠. (Y)
This store is just next to Kingshi Hotel in Ximen. ^^

anyway mel and vin decided to get drinks from nearby drink stall.
and we were all surprised when we see this:


yes. HAHAHA! the cat kinda attracted alot of customer yo. 8D

then we walked past convenient stall and I realised I needed something sweet to end my day.

yes pudding. this is DAMN AWESOME!!! *v*

and then we also saw this, the milk tea bottle looked like shampoo bottles. HAHA!


so me and laopo each got a bottle. hurrr!

ok anyway, this ended the first day.
with the super leopard print bedsheets, pillow and blanket. HAHAHA!

so awesome prz.

P.S I’m totally drooling and crying when I’m posting this. DAMN, 我要回去！！！！
